Steer Sports was founded by Ben Steer, a strategy and program specialist with experience across government, sport, community delivery and organisational systems.
The practice brings together expertise in funding and investment, participation strategy, program design, stakeholder engagement, governance and safeguarding. It is built on the belief that strong sport and physical activity outcomes require more than good intentions. They require clear strategy, aligned partnerships, credible funding pathways and practical delivery planning.
Steer Sports works with organisations that want to strengthen participation, improve organisational sustainability, respond to complex sector challenges and deliver measurable outcomes for their communities.
That includes support across:
funding and grant strategy
strategic planning
program and partnership design
governance and integrity
impact and evaluation
policy and advisory work
Ben Steer has worked across senior government, sport and program delivery roles, leading work spanning participation, funding, safeguarding, strategic planning and system improvement.
